Who is responsible for your information

Lines Solicitors Limited, trading as Alexander James Solicitors, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at enquiries@ajsclaims.co.uk, +44 7344 141 814, or by writing to 59 Cheetham Hill Rd, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, M4 4FS, United Kingdom.

This notice explains website enquiries and initial claim assessments. If we accept instructions, the client-care documents we provide will explain any additional case-specific processing.

Information we collect

We collect only information you choose to provide and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

  • Contact details and your preferred contact method.
  • Information about an accident, injury, treatment and potential claim.
  • Documents you voluntarily upload, such as photographs or reports.
  • Source-page and attribution information, where analytics consent has been given.
  • Security and diagnostic records needed to prevent abuse and investigate errors.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond, carry out conflict and eligibility checks, assess whether we may be able to assist, keep a record of the request, prevent fraud or misuse, and meet legal or regulatory duties. We do not use details about an injury for advertising profiles.

The legal basis depends on the activity and may include steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests in operating a secure legal service, legal obligations, and your explicit choice where special-category information is provided during an enquiry.

Sharing, storage and retention

Information may be processed by vetted hosting, database, communications and professional-service providers acting under appropriate instructions. We may also disclose information where the law, a regulator or a court requires it. We do not sell personal information.

Website data is stored in the private Hostinger application and MySQL database configured for this service. Retention depends on whether an enquiry becomes a matter, regulatory duties and the need to handle disputes. Information that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised under our retention process.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. You may withdraw optional marketing or analytics consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Contact us first so we can investigate. You may also raise a data-protection concern with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
