Tell us what has gone wrong

Explain what happened, the outcome you want and any relevant reference. We will acknowledge the concern and explain who is handling it and what information is needed.

We aim to investigate fairly, keep you informed and provide a written response. Making a complaint will not affect how your matter is handled.

Independent routes

If we cannot resolve a service complaint, the Legal Ombudsman may be able to consider it. Eligibility and time limits apply, so use the current guidance at legalombudsman.org.uk rather than relying on a copied deadline.

Concerns about professional conduct can be raised with the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The Legal Ombudsman and SRA deal with different types of issue; their websites explain which organisation is appropriate.
